Raw emotion! Powerful lungs! Amazing range! Dynamic performer! Feedback from audiences moved by professional musician, Deanne Matley. Deanne has been graced with the opportunity to have performed for hundreds of events and for thousands of people and is incredibly excited to have recently released her debut album, “Stealin’ Blue”. She is known for her pure tone, sultry sound, and has that voice that “You could listen to all night long”. Performing from a grounded context of “From My Heart”, she invites her audience to embark on an emotional journey and permits herself to remain vulnerable so she can truly deliver a performance the audience can feel; causing people to be inspired.
Deanne, a native Calgarian, is a versatile singer that can attack jazz, r&b, pop, musical theater and a capella musical styles with a genuinity unparalleled. Her ability to perform with a duo, trio, combo and all the way up to a 17 piece big band makes her easily accessible to any kind of event. Deanne’s mentors and coaches include such names as Sheila Jordan, Bob Stoloff, Vinx, Patrice Barnes and Reid Spencer. She recently spent her summer honing and sharpening her skills at the highly esteemed Berklee College of Music in Boston and has joined as a member of the Calgary Musicians Association and Alberta Music Industry Association.
Deanne continues to work out the details for her upcoming tour so she can continue to inspire as many people as possible through sharing her passion and love of music. We want to thank Deanne for the huge part she played in making our wedding day beautiful, magical, and very special. Thanks to Deanne, the music planning was almost stress-free as she competently took on the role of music coordinator, and put together programs for ceremony, cocktail and reception music. She recommended and hired amazing musicians, worked with the band members to arrange the exact music we wanted, ensured the sound system requirements were all in place, and even helped us out with many of the non-music logistics for the day.
